Hannover Trade Fair Calendar 2026 — and Where to Sleep for Each
The main 2026 Deutsche Messe events at a glance — Domotex, Hannover Messe, Agritechnica and more — with practical advice on booking accommodation early for each.

Hannover is one of the world's biggest trade-fair cities, and the Deutsche Messe exhibition grounds draw hundreds of thousands of visitors across the year. If you're exhibiting or attending, the hardest part is rarely the badge — it's the bed. Hotels near the fairground routinely sell out months ahead and triple their rates during the big shows. This is our living Hannover trade fair calendar 2026 accommodation guide: the main dates, and where to stay for each.
The main Hannover trade fairs in 2026
Deutsche Messe runs a rotating programme of world-leading events. Some are annual, others biennial, so the exact line-up shifts each year. These are the headline 2026 dates worth planning around:
- Domotex (flooring & carpets) — 19–22 January 2026.
- Hannover Messe (industry, energy & automation) — 20–24 April 2026, the year's biggest event.
- Agritechnica (agricultural machinery) — 8–14 November 2026, drawing around 450,000 visitors.
- LIGNA (wood processing) — major biennial fair, check the current year before booking.
- IAA Transportation (commercial vehicles & logistics) — large autumn event.
- Further regular shows: EMV, didacta and Infa among them.
Why book accommodation early for every fair
During Hannover Messe and Agritechnica especially, the city fills up. Hotels in walking distance of the grounds are gone first, and prices spike sharply for the fair week. The simplest rule for any of these dates: lock in your accommodation as soon as you know you're coming. A furnished apartment in Hannover is a calmer alternative to an overpriced hotel — your own kitchen, free Wi-Fi, and a quiet residential street to come back to.
Where we fit in — Schierholzstraße 61, Groß-Buchholz
Our furnished apartments are on Schierholzstraße 61 in Groß-Buchholz, a residential district northeast of the centre. Tram line 7 and a bus stop are directly outside, so the fairground and city are an easy ride without battling fair-week traffic. Free parking at the house means you can also drive in and leave the car.
- Free parking at the house — no daily fairground parking fees.
- Own kitchen in every apartment — cook after long days on the stands.
- Washing machine and dryer on site for longer build-up and dismantling weeks.
- Free Wi-Fi for evening calls and follow-ups.
- REWE supermarket with bakery around the corner, open until 23:00.
