Messezimmer Hannover: Private Trade-Fair Rooms Instead of a Hotel

As soon as a big fair comes to Hannover — Hannover Messe, Agritechnica, IAA Transportation, Domotex, LIGNA or didacta — hotels sell out fast and prices climb steeply. The alternative is a private Messezimmer: furnished rooms and apartments that exhibitors, stand staff and visitors rent for the fair days. Our trade-fair rooms are at Schierholzstraße 61 in Hannover Groß-Buchholz, about 13 km from the fairgrounds.

Private fair room instead of a hotel: why it makes sense

Getting to the Hannover fairgrounds

By car it is about 13 km from Groß-Buchholz to the Messe — the Messeschnellweg takes you straight there, and with free parking at the house you start the day without hunting for a space. By tram: the line 7 stop is about 550 m from the accommodation; from there you ride towards the city centre and main station (about 20 minutes), where the fair trams leave for the grounds. Arriving from abroad: Hannover Airport is 14 km away, roughly 15 minutes by taxi.

How you live during the fair

All rooms are fully furnished with freshly made beds and towels. Every apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen with fridge and cookware; there is also a large shared kitchen with seating — handy when the stand team wants to sit together in the evening. Washing machine and dryer are in the house. A REWE supermarket with bakery is about 50 m away and open until 23:00, and a restaurant with bar and large terrace is right next door (until 22:00).

For exhibitors and stand staff: the whole team under one roof

Stand builders often arrive days before the fair, stand staff stay the whole week. We offer rooms with two to four beds and apartments with several rooms; for larger teams the entire guest house with shared kitchen can be booked. You get a clear all-in price and an invoice made out to the company. Check-in and check-out are possible between 8:00 and 22:00, keys are handed over in person — by arrangement also for late arrivals.

Checklist for your trade-fair stay

• Fix the fair dates plus set-up and dismantling days — stand builders often need one or two extra nights.
• Clarify the number of people and the preferred set-up: single rooms, shared rooms or whole apartments.
• Announce company vehicles so enough parking spaces are ready.
• Send the company billing details with the booking — the invoice is then ready at departure.
